About Us
We rescue pets, so they can rescue people.
At Big Red Dog Animal Assisted Therapy group we know how beneficial animals can be to the health and lives of the people they interact with. That is why we work to provide services to as many organizations and individuals as possible.
Our organization feels strongly that pets are like family. We recognize that not every pet has the chance to enjoy a loving family, so we use rehabilitated rescue dogs, exclusively, for our therapy teams.
Every person has a story, just like every pet has a story. Let us help you share your story with a new lifelong friend through the connection of animal assisted therapy.

Our History |
Big Red Dog Therapy Group was founded in 2015 by therapy handler, Jill (Vass) Moore. Although the name is relatively new, Jill has been doing animal assisted therapy since 2011. Jill began doing therapy with her dog, Red, as part of an independent study project at Jill's high school. Since then Jill and her dogs have visited several more schools, nursing facilities and hospitals from time to time. Red was also a participant in an undergraduate research study on AAT. With services increasing in popularity, Jill decided it was time to give themselves a name. Big Red Dog is derived from Jill's original therapy dog's name as well as how clients commonly described him when he visited.
